Continuous Learning Framework

Welcome to the Plainview Intermediate Elementary Continuous Learning Framework page.  My hope is this will help guide you as we enter into our distance learning for the remaining seven weeks of school.  Please know, we are here to support you in this journey in any way we possibly can during this challenging time.

ASSIGNMENTS:

Teachers will provide lessons for the week each Monday morning by 9:00 a.m.  Students are expected to complete all lessons by the next Monday morning.  The classroom teachers are utilizing Study Island, Nearpod, Reading Plus, Seesaw, BrainPop, and Google Classroom for the lesson assignments. Lessons will include the following:

  • 2 English Language Arts Lessons (Includes Reading)
  • 2 Mathematics Lessons
  • Expectation of Reading 20 Minutes Daily
  • Expectation of Practicing Mathematics Facts 15 Minutes Daily
  • Choice Board of Activities (Complete 5 Each Week)
  • Weekly Challenges from PE, Art, Music, Library, Guidance, and Computer Technology

A distance learning tracker will be provided weekly in order to document weekly lessons completed.

GRADES:

We will continue to utilize our student information system, WenGage, to record weekly grades.  Please continue to monitor your student’s grades during this time.  If you are in need of login information, contact Christy Sudderth at the following email address:

OFFICE HOURS:

Intermediate teachers will be available from noon to 1:00 p.m. daily to help support you and your student.  They will be available to answer questions, guide you through a lesson, or help if a problem were to arise.

ZOOM MEETINGS:

Teachers may invite you to participate in a Zoom meeting so students and teachers can remain in contact with one another.  If a teacher holds a Zoom meeting, it will be offered between 10:00 a.m. to noon on the following days:


Tuesday – 3rd Grade

Wednesday – 4th Grade

Thursday – 5th Grade

Friday – Special Area Teachers

 

IMPORTANT - Teachers will send a private link to you for joining the weekly Zoom meeting.
